Join Coast Morning Show host Eva at New Beginnings: Providing Shelter, Finding Hope, Gala and Silent Auction on May 7, at Grace Restaurant in Portland, a benefit for the Family Crisis Services of Maine.

Funds raised from this event will be used specifically for their domestic violence shelter which provides housing, safety, counseling, education, advocacy and hope for those seeking to break the cycle.

Buy TIckets

In 2012 FCS handled over 5000 hotline calls and provided advocacy to over 2400 people. They provided emergency shelter for 86 women, as well as 55 children, for a total number of 4689 bed nights.
One in four women has experienced domestic abuse. Despite a nationwide movement to increase awareness about domestic violence, still less than 1% of corporate and business philanthropies included domestic violence in their giving guidelines.
