Restaurants offer free meals to vets

Applebee’s is offering a free meal to veterans and active duty military members on Veterans Day.

Bar Louie is offering all veterans and active duty members a free meal on either Sunday, Nov. 10, or Monday, Veterans Day.

California Pizza Kitchen is offering a free pie for all vets and active duty on Monday through its Real Pizza for Real Heroes promotion.

Military members can partake in an all-American meal of a burger and fries for free all day Monday at Champps. Other burger chains, Red Robin and Max & Erma’s are offering a similar free burger deal.

Chili’s locations across the country will feature a special menu with free dinner for vets and active duty.

Veterans and active duty members can start their day off right with a free donut and coffee from Krispy Kreme. Tim Hortons is also offering a similar deal on Veterans Day.

The Darden restaurant group is celebrating the service of veterans of active duty military personnel through its national chains, Red Lobster, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Olive Garden. In some cases promotions run Nov. 11-14.

O’Charley’s will offer vets and active duty members a free meal on Monday, and the restaurant chain will have cards available for guests to sign, thanking them for their service.

Little Caesar’s Pizza is again holding its Veterans Day Salute, giving away free crazy bread to those who have served.

Outback Steakhouse is bringing back its popular free Bloomin’ Onion appetizer for vets and active duty military members on Nov. 11. The restaurant will also offer 10 percent off for all service members from Nov. 12 to Dec. 31.

Texas Roadhouse and T.G.I. Fridays are each offering free lunch deals to vets and active duty military members.
