Starting weekdays on 3/22/21 to 5/7/21, Coast 93.1 will be running its “Pay It Forward Contest.” Listeners will enter their name and a friend’s name at Coast 931.com starting on 3/22/21. Weekdays at 7:10am from 4/5/21 – 5/7/21 and 5:10pm from 4/19/21 – 5/7/21 , a random “friend’s name” will be announced on-air (different name for each time slot.). If the person whose name was announced calls 79-COAST (26278) within ten minutes of being announced, they will win $100 for themselves, and $100 for the friend who entered them. The DJ will take down their contact information, and winners will be reached out to by Coast staff with further instructions. If they do not call within the ten-minute timeframe, no one wins the money. Each entrant can only win $100 once (either by being nominated, or by being the one to enter.) Deadline to enter is on Friday 5/7/21 at 5pm.

Upon signing the release form at the Coast 93.1 Studio, 420 Western Avenue in South Portland, Maine, during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm), each winner will receive their $100 check.

Due to the nature of our programs that are heard on-line over the internet, contests may not be heard at all on 93.1 WMGX. Contests heard on the radio station’s internet audio stream may be slightly delayed from the time the contests are heard on the broadcast station, and will be running behind the broadcast signal. Thus, all contests heard on the internet are delayed. This delay can last for as much as 30 seconds or more. This means that when 93.1 WMGX contests are played that require a specific caller to telephone the radio station (such as “Caller number 9 when you hear the sound effect”), listeners to the on-line audio stream may be at a disadvantage in participating over those listeners who hear the contests on-air.

All 93.1 WMGX contests are open to all eligible Maine residents who live or work within 75 miles of our transmitter 18 or older and have not won anything on Coast 93.1 in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of 93.1 WMGX, Portland Radio Group and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the 93.1 WMGX main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
