On Monday, June 28th, Coast 93.1 will begin its “What’s in Blake’s Bag?” promotion. The contest will run during the following weeks, each week representing a new contest with a new winner: 6/28-7/2, 7/12-7/16, 7/26-7/30, 8/9-8/13. Each morning, Monday through Friday at 7:30 am during the Blake Show with Kelly and Todd, Blake will pull out one grocery item from “Blake’s Bag” and announce it on-air. That specific item will be repeated on-air throughout the day. Each day will be a different grocery item, totaling five for the week. On Friday at 8am (after pulling out the week’s fifth item), Blake will instruct listeners to call 207-792-6278 (79-COAST) to repeat the “grocery list” of five items in order of how the items were pulled. Listeners must say the exact brand, exactly how Blake announced it on-air (and can reference Coast931.com for the master list of grocery items for extra help.) Blake and Kelly will have sole discretion over if the item was said correctly or not. If the caller fails to follow these steps, Blake will take the next caller (and so on.) Once a caller repeats the correct five item list in the right order, they will win $1,000 cash. The contest will total four $1,000 winners, one for each week. Listeners can only win once (for all four weeks.)
Upon signing release forms and filling out a W-9 at the Coast 93.1 Studio (or by e-mail), 420 Western Avenue in South Portland, Maine, during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm), the winners will receive their prize. Due to the nature of our programs that are heard on-line over the internet, contests may not be heard at all on Coast 93.1. Contests heard on the radio station’s internet audio stream may be slightly delayed from the time the contests are heard on the broadcast station, and will be running behind the broadcast signal. Thus, all contests heard on the internet are delayed. This delay can last for as much as 30 seconds or more. This means that when Coast 93.1 contests are played that require a specific caller to telephone the radio station (such as “Caller number 9 when you hear the sound effect”), listeners to the on-line audio stream may be at a disadvantage in participating over those listeners who hear the contests on-air. All Coast 93.1 contests are open to all eligible Maine residents who live or work within 75 miles of our transmitter 18 or older and have not won anything on Coast 93.1 in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null
and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. Employees of Coast 93.1, Portland Radio Group and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the Coast 93.1 main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian. No purchase necessary. Coast 93.1’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. Coast 93.1 will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. Winners will be responsible for all federal and state taxes, and any fees and incidentals. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash. Full contest rules available at Coast 93.1 studios located at 420 Western Avenue between the hours of 9am and 5pm; or by logging onto coast931.co
