Reunite with EqualityMaine at their first-ever Day-la, coming up on Saturday, August 28th! They’ll be celebrating from 11am to 3pm at Thompson’s Point in Portland, with an afternoon of fun to raise critical funds to continue their work in supporting Maine’s LGBTQ+ community.
I’ve heard of their Gay-la but what’s the Day-la?
It’s an outdoor summer festival for Maine’s LGBTQ+ and allied community featuring Bad Romance – Portland’s very own Lady Gaga Tribute band, live music and dance performances, a queer and trans fashion show, drag performances, activities for all ages, food trucks and the LL Bean Bootmobile!

Featuring:

  • Festival main stage with performances from a wide array of community artists and organizations
  • Hosted by local drag favorites and friends of EQME, Chartreuse Queen and Lichen
  • Music by DJ Disco Dungeon
  • Children’s activity area with arts & crafts and Drag Story Book Hour
  • SAGE Maine gathering area with activities for older adults
  • Field games
  • Food trucks galore!
  • The L.L. Bean Boot Mobile will have lots of giveaways and lead a paracord bracelet making activity.
  • Photo booth
  • And more!

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate.  Ages 17 & under are free!
