Bus provided by Custom Coach and Limousine

From 5am to 10am on Monday, November 21st, our three stations will flip the switch on their regular formats in order to come together and reach our goal of raising $20,000 for Preble Street! How do you participate? By tuning in to any of the three participating stations and purchasing a virtual “seat” on our fleet of school buses for $50. 10 school buses at 50 seats each will get us to that goal and beyond!

With YOUR help we can exceed our goal of $20,000 for Preble Street by Thanksgiving!

Click the link below to make a secure online donation to give Preble Street the buying power of 7 pounds of food for each dollar. All donations are for Food Programs which include both soup kitchens, mobile food services, and food pantry.

  • This is the 17th annual Stuff the Bus!
  • Every $1 raised can purchase 7lbs of food for the most vulnerable members of our community.
  • The mission of Preble Street is to provide accessible barrier-free services to empower people experiencing problems with homelessness, housing, hunger, and poverty, and to advocate for solutions to these problems. Our work informed by — and in partnership with — the people we serve.
  • Preble Street, with the support of numerous partners and volunteers, ensures people have access to safe housing and shelter, nutritious and delicious food, health care, including vaccines, and connects people to critical support services. Preble Street programs not only meet urgent needs but also create solutions to homelessness and hunger through advocacy.
  • Preble Street has nearly 300 staff members and offices in Bangor, Lewiston, and Portland.
  • Homelessness is complex and there isn’t just one easy solution. The increase in the number of people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity here in Maine – and nationwide – has been driven by a number of factors from:
    • the impacts of the pandemic
    • to a lack of affordable housing and accessible emergency shelter
    • to racial inequities
    • to family and other personal issues
    • to an increase in the number of people needing support for managing substance use disorders and behavioral health issues – and a lack of that support.

A big THANK YOU to our wonderful sponsors:
