Coast 93.1 Night of Love – Official Rules


Beginning 12:00am Monday January 25th until 11:59pm Tuesday, February 9th couples can submit their entries telling Coast 93.1 why they need a “Night of Love”. To enter couples must go to coast 931.com and click the “contests” tab, and then select the “Night of Love” contest. Entrants must register and submit their entries through UPICKEM. Voters must be registered members of UPICKEM. Entrants must include all required registration information to register and agree to terms for UPICKEM. One entry per couple. More than one entry per couple will invalidate all entries by those individuals. Coast will select their three favorite entries based on the description of their needs. Three finalists will be notified on Wed, 2/10 via phone and/or email. The three finalists will then then come into the Coast studio on Friday morning February 12th. Each partner will be asked 3 questions about the other partner, with that partner removed from the room. The partners will then be brought back together and asked for their answers for the same three questions. The couple that gets the most correct answers wins the grand prize. In the case of a tie, the tied couples will continue to be asked questions until one couple gives a wrong answer. The grand prize winning couple will receive a “Night of Love” on Saturday, 2/20/16 consisting of: one overnight stay in the Honeymoon Suite at the Portland Harbor Hotel (valued at $375), a cocktail by the new fireplace in the garden (valued at $25), dinner for 2 at Eve’s at the Garden (valued at $100), romantic turndown service, chocolate covered strawberries (valued at $50), and breakfast for two the next morning (valued at $50). Grand prize approximated value is $600. Coast 931 will award the grand prize within 1 week of winning. Coast 93.1’s sole responsibility is to award the prize; therefore, Coast 93.1 will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason cannot or decides not to use the hotel accommodations, or the dinner or breakfast voucher. Incidentals include but are not limited to unpaid room service charges, phone charges, movies, etc. This, and all other expenses will be the responsibility of the winner. Entrants and winners will be chosen in the sole discretion of Coast 93.1.

Coast 93.1 contests are open to all eligible Maine and New Hampshire residents 21 or over and have not have not won any prize on Coast 93.1 valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. Employees of Coast 93.1 at the Portland Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the Coast 93.1 main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian. These rules will supersede rules posted on the Upickem Website.
