Sue Sturgis: Our “Outstanding Woman” for 10-4-17
Sue is a hospice volunteer with Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice. She volunteers regularly as a greeter, but also fulfills a crucial role as a “Tuck-in” caller. Tuck in callers check in weekly with home-based hospice patients to make sure they have the necessary supplies and medicines for the weekend. Although end of life care be hard, Sue says it’s work she truly loves to do.

Dina Call- Our “Outstanding Woman” for 9-29-17
Dina created “End 68 Hours of Hunger” to help kids in the Sacopee Valley area who face weekend food insecurity. Donated or purchased food is collected and given to schools to discreetly hand to kids as they leave for the weekend. The program is 100% volunteer and donation-based.

Heidi Sawyer- Our “Outstanding Woman” for 9-28-17
Heidi admits she lives and breathes “Lewiston.” Wanting to bring the city together, she helps coordinate community outings and events to reflect Lewiston Pride. Heidi’s also created a “Lewiston Rocks” a webpage that offers residents a list of events, services, and resources available to them.
