Karen is a science teacher for at-risk kids at Noble High School’s alternative education program–and she is the coordinator of North Berwick’s Harvest for Hunger garden. She even donated her own property for the community to use to grow food, which is then donated to the local food pantries.

Ruth Libby is our “Outstanding Woman” for 10-10-17
Ruth started “Ruth’s Reusable Resources” in our basement 24 years ago. She basically collected excess or obsolete supplies from companies and had teachers come and get the supplies for their classrooms. Through the years, RRR’s has grown and is now housed in a huge warehouse. Ruth estimates about $65m in supplies has avoided the landfills and helped teachers fill in the gaps of needed supplies.
