Jill Andrews has been designing wedding dresses for years, but the look she debuted at New York Fashion Week this year is less fashion, more function: The Ebola Safety Suit.
She decided to pitch in her design skills when she found out researchers at Johns Hopkins were working on a new suit for medical staff treating patients suffering from the deadly virus.
According to WCBS, “Andrews’ suit can be removed in a quarter of the time, with just 8 steps instead of the old 31, but what she is most proud of is the big clear window that shows the healthcare worker’s entire face.”
