Heartbreaking Request From 5 year-old Fire Survivor: Send me Christmas Cards?
Via WCVB-TV in Boston:
“A 5-year-old New York girl who lost her family in a fire that was intentionally set has one wish this holiday season: Christmas cards from around the world.
“In 2013, Safyre Terry’s father and three younger siblings died in a fire caused by arson. Safyre was found in the debris next to her father, who used his body to shield her from the flames.
“Safyre suffered severe burns, and in the months following the fatal blaze she lost her right hand and left foot.”
