Good tease, eh? So I made an on-air statement at the start of the year; I want to lose 30 pounds by the end of 2017. While my eating habits are pretty good, cutting out alcohol during the week, and the junkie food I eat after a few drinks, adds up quick!
I was down eight pounds a few weeks ago, and then vacation to Ecuador came. I will say we ate pretty clean, not much sugar, lots of veggies, yogurts, potatoes, and fish. The wine however, what does it say that we paid a staffer at the resort to drive into town and buy us 5 bottles! It’s vacation. The saving grace was our room was high on a hill and we had to climb that hill at least 3-4 times a day!
After a crappy night last night – snow paring issues and a water main break meaning no water for me–I did open a bottle of wine–I got on the scale this morning, expecting to see at least a bump up in the number. BUT, I was actually down a pound! Yes, a total of nine pounds now! This makes me very motivated! I plan to have several workouts this weekend and limit my wine to just while I get my hair done tomorrow–we have too much fun.
Every body is different, but for me, it’s food choices vs. exercise–and cutting out sugar, makes a big difference. Still, I admit I ate the five amazing pure cacao bars I brought back from Ecuador. It’s all about balance.
