You can’t help but smile when you hear Pharrell’s hit song “Happy,” and that’s exactly what’s been helping a 9 year-old Texas boy battle bone cancer.

When his dad tried to reach out and get a signed photo of the singer, Pharrell went above and beyond, recording an inspiring video message.

“You’ll take this inspirational story and you’ll motivate so many people around the world,” he tells the fourth grader. “This is your moment, and your life is just beginning.”
