3 face drug charges after raids in New Gloucester, Lewiston

A month-long investigation into drug trafficking in New Gloucester and Lewiston led to three arrests on Wednesday.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says agents searched a home on Lewiston Road in New Gloucester, leading to the arrest of 45-year-old Siyad Abdi, who was charged with drug trafficking and possession.

Later in the day, police searched a home on Bartlett Street in Lewiston, arresting 41-year-old Abdurahim Ibrahim and 37-year-old Kayla Labonte, who both face drug charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
