Authorities in California arrest Edgecomb man wanted for murder

A suspect wanted in connection with a murder in Edgecomb was taken into custody in California.

Maine State Police say 34-year-old William Robinson of Virginia was found dead at the Schmid Preserve in Edgecomb on Dec. 3, 2024. He died of a gunshot wound.

Following an investigation, police linked the killing to 26-year-old Luke Krott of Edgecomb. He had left the state but was found Monday night on a sailboat at a marina in San Diego.

He’s awaiting extradition back to Maine, where he will face a murder charge.
