Belfast City Council endorses plan to reduce size of cruise ships allowed to dock

Belfast city leaders have moved to reduce cruise ship traffic.

The city council voted unanimously Wednesday on a measure to only allow boats holding 50 or fewer passenger because of limited dock space.

City councilors said they were concerned about safety and marine navigation with larger ships coming into the dock.

American Cruise Lines is asking the city council to table the issue.
