Campfire likely cause of brush fire in Scarborough

Crews rushed to the scene of a brush fire in Scarborough Thursday afternoon.

The Scarborough Fire Department says the fire was burning in the marsh behind Highland Avenue.

A Maine Forest Service helicopter was brought in drop water.

Investigators say the fire was likely caused by an improperly extinguished campfire.
