Drivers in Jay again warned not to ignore flood-related closed road signs

Officials are again telling drivers in Jay to stop ignoring signs about road closures caused by flooding and washouts.

This after Jay Fire & Rescue says the driver of a pickup truck went around a road closed sign on Woodman Hill Rd. and almost ended up in a giant hole caused by flooding.

Fortunately, the truck was stopped by a large dirt pile in front of the hole.

Similar incidents happened in Jay last month, when multiple drivers went around barricades and crashed due to unsafe road conditions caused by flash flooding.

According to CBS 13, heavy rain this summer has led to at least half a dozen washouts in Jay.
