BRADFORD (BDN) – A residential fire broke out on Middle Road in Bradford on Saturday evening, resulting in the loss of 13 dogs. Several fire departments from neighboring towns arrived on the scene to extinguish the fire, which was reported at approximately 7 p.m. and brought under control by 9 p.m. Bradford Assistant Chief Desmond Murray confirmed that the incident was caused by a wood stove. Unfortunately, the two litters of puppies inside the building, along with their mothers, could not be rescued.

Fortunately, there were no human casualties. The owner of the building has not been identified, and the dogs’ breed is unknown. Murray speculated that they may have been hunting dogs, but he was unsure why they were being kept in the building. The fire is not under investigation as the cause has already been established.
