Hannaford is recalling some ground beef sold at its store in Farmington.

The recall announced on Monday afternoon is for Hannaford-brand 81 percent lean ground beef purchased at the store on Saturday, August 1st, with a sell-by date of Sunday.

Hannaford says the meat may contain foreign material, although it has not stated what the foreign material is. No illness from the meat had been reported as of Monday.

The grocery chain says the product or its packaging may be returned to the store for a full refund. Hannaford says the recall only affects the store in Farmington.
