Land in Buckfield Won’t Go to Hell’s Angel After Vote

Hells Angels MC Fayetteville NC

A plot of land in Buckfield will not be going to the Hell’s Angels motorcycle gang after residents voted to accept the land as a donation this week.

Buckfield resident James Jordan died last year at age 80, and in death, he offered the town his 14-acre property on Depot Street, along with $850,000 to maintain it and additional funds for scholarships.

The land and money would’ve gone to the Hell’s Angels if voters rejected the offer.

The Sun Journal reports a friend of Jordan believes the Hell’s Angels element was a joke and a way to ensure voters accepted the offer.

Jordan’s obituary states he was born on Aug. 25, 1943, graduated from Buckfield High School and went on to be traveling salesman and a manager at International Paper. He was also an antique car enthusiast.
