A 62-year-old Howland man is pleading not guilty after Maine State Police say a six-month investigation uncovered Child Sex violations.

James Cameron is charged with four counts of violation of sex offender registration and two counts of prohibited contact with a minor.

Cameron was arrested in Howland and is now out on bail after being released from the Penobscot County Jail.

He’s due back in court on March 3rd.

State police say they were assisted in the investigation by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Maine Sex Offender Registry (SOR), which is maintained by the Maine State Police, State Bureau of Identification (SBI).
