Maine’s Congressional Delegation reacts to Israel-Hamas conflict

Israel has ordered a complete siege on Gaza following an unexpected attack on Israel by Hamas on Saturday. Members of Maine’s Congressional Delegation are now responding to the conflict.

According to CBS 13, Rep. Chellie Pingree said she’s horrified by the attacks against the Israeli people, adding that the U.S. must stand beside them in the difficult days to come.

Rep. Jared Golden says Hamas’ incursion into Israel can’t be tolerated, and he’s standing firmly with the nation of Israel.

Sen. Susan Collins has condemned the attacks by Hamas, adding that the U.S. is standing with Israel, which she describes as our closest ally in the Middle East.
