Man charged with OUI after head-on crash in Naples


A Fryeburg man faces a long list of charges after police say he crashed head-on into another car.

Police say 39-year-old Andrew Amato crossed the center line on the Naples Causeway and struck the other vehicle just after noon Sunday.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Amato was also treated for non-life-threatening injuries and then taken to the Cumberland County Jail.

According to CBS 13, he’s charged with driving to endanger, operating under the influence, illegal possession of Xanax and other crimes.
