A 32-year-old motorcyclist has critical injuries from a crash on Route 11 in Poland Tuesday night.

Androscoggin County deputies say Dylan Deconzo crashed with an SUV driven by Anne Emrick of Charlestown, Massachusetts, who was crossing through an intersection on Route 11.

They say Deconzo, who was not wearing a helmut, was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in a ditch.

Deconzo was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, and later transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland where he remains in critical condition.

Emrick was not injured.

Deputies say witnesses on scene reported that the motorcycle had been seen prior to the crash being operated without its headlight on.

The crash remains under investigation.

The intersection of Route 11 (Bakerstown Road) and North Raymond Road was closed for 4 hours while an on scene inbestigation took place.
