Man seriously injured in Lewiston shootout charged with reckless conduct

A man who was hospitalized after a shooting in Lewiston is now facing charges.

The shooting on Dec. 17 near Pierce and Walnut Streets left one man, 36-year-old Mickiel James of Livermore Falls, with serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Everyone else involved in the shooting fled the scene by the time police arrived.

James, who’s still in the hospital, has been charged with aggravated reckless conduct and reckless conduct with a firearm.

That investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are expected.
