New details were released Tuesday in the death of a Portland chef whose body was found in his car in Massachusetts.
Christopher Caron of Massachusetts was arraigned Tuesday on a murder charge for the death of Declan Perry, who was found dead last month in the back seat of a car parked in front of South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.
In court, prosecutors said the two met to take cocaine and fentanyl, but Caron’s claim that Perry died of an overdose is clearly false.
An autopsy found that Perry’s cause of death was blunt force trauma to his head and neck.
Caron turned himself in to police on Saturday.
Perry worked as a chef at Portland’s Grill Room.
