Officials say someone donated what appears to be a hand grenade to the Goodwill store in Augusta, prompting an evacuation on Tuesday.

Goodwill Northern New England says the store on Senator Way was evacuated Tuesday morning out of an abundance of caution, while a bomb squad was called in.

Investigators say no threat was made and they don’t suspect any ill intent.

The store was temporarily closed but has since reopened.
