One in Custdy, One At Large After Reportedly Fleeing York County Crash

Paul Kastberg - York County Sheriff's Office

A 39-year-old man is in custody, while police are searching for another man after both are accused of leaving the scene of a crash in southern Maine early Saturday morning.

York County deputies say they found Paul Kastberg after being sent to Kennebunk Road in Alfred, where a vehicle crashed into a pole.

They say they found Kastberg hiding in nearby woods, and arrested him for operating after a revoked license, leaving the scene of a crash, and improper plates.

Kastberg was taken to the York County Jail, where was unable to make an $800 bail, and will make his first court appearance on Monday.

Deputies are still looking for another person suspected of fleeing the scene.
