After protests over the last few days in Portland about police brutality and the recent death of George Floyd, support has only increased, as another protest took place Sunday afternoon in downtown Portland.
Hundreds gathered outside the city’s police station before marching to Portland City Hall and the Cumberland County Jail with some protesters laying on the ground chanting, “I can’t breathe” and “black lives matter.” Others walked with hands held above their heads.
According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, some form of protest took place in Bar Harbor, Belfast, Brunswick, Kennebunk, Lewiston/Auburn, Mt. Vernon and Orono.
Early reports indicate all of the protests were peaceful.
