A 61-year-old man accused of robbing a bank in Westbrook Thursday is in custody after being arrested in New Hampshire.
Police say they identified Jean Gendron from South Carolina as the person who robbed Chase Bank at Rock Row in Westbrook.
They say Gendron was arrested late Thursday afternoon while getting off a bus in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
It’s not known if he’s connected to two other bank robberies in Portland in the last five days.

Police are looking for the suspect in a robbery at the Chase Bank in Westbrook.
The robbery was reported at the bank located at Rock Row around 10:50 a.m. Thursday, with the suspect fleeing towards Larrabee Road.
Police say the suspect is a middle-aged white male who is balding, with white and gray goatee and facial hair.
He’s between 5’4” and 5’8”.
His teeth are reported to have brown staining on them with spacing between the teeth.
He also walks with a gait that may be distinctive.

It’s not clear if Thursday’s robbery is linked to robberies that took place over the last week at a Kennebec Savings Bank and a Bangor Savings Bank, both in Portland.
