There’s no longer a shelter-in-place order for residents in Rumford.
Rumford Police called off the advisory at about 1 am Wednesday morning, saying “one subject was in custody”.
The order was issued at about 9:15 Tuesday night for residents on Rt 232 Rumford Corner, who were told to lock their doors and not leave their homes because of an emergency in progress.
Rumford Police have not said exactly what took place.
