Several departments helped Biddeford firefighters put out a fire at the Sleepy Hollow Motel on Elm Street on Tuesday morning.
Crews say a second fire hydrant near the Hannaford store had to be used when the primary hydrant was found to be frozen.

They say they were able to limit the fire to the garage area of a motel unit and protect a 4-story wood frame apartment building that was 30 feet away.
The Sleepy Hollow Motel was closed for the season, and only one firefighter received minor injuries.

Biddeford firefighters say the scene was cleared after about four-hours at 12:35 pm.
They say the cause and origin of the fire is under joint investigation by the Biddeford Fire Department and the State of Maine Fire Marshal’s office.
Firefighters say it appears to be an accidental electrical fire.
