A three-alarm fire tore through the Executive Manor Apartments in Manchester, New Hampshire, early New Year’s morning. The blaze broke out just after midnight on Union Street, quickly spreading through the four-story building and trapping residents on the upper floors. Witnesses described a harrowing scene as occupants clung to balconies and leaned out windows to escape the heavy smoke and heat. One resident reportedly jumped from a second-floor balcony to survive, while firefighters used ladders and bucket trucks to rescue several others, including a child trapped in a fourth-floor bedroom.

Tragically, officials confirmed that one person died in the fire, though their identity has not yet been released. Eight others were transported to the hospital, with one victim listed in critical condition. The fire has left the building uninhabitable, displacing approximately 40 residents from 10 families. The Red Cross and the First Baptist Church are currently providing shelter and assistance to those affected, while investigators work to determine the cause of the blaze.
