Early Saturday morning, Oxford County sheriff’s detectives arrested two males in the town of Lovell, who’re accused of stealing gas from a country club.

The detectives were conducting a surveillance detail of the area because of ongoing thefts of gasoline and criminal activity, when they spotted the two men in the process of stealing 25-gallons of gas from the Kezar Lake Country Club.

The males tried to flee the scene, with 35-year-old Jesse Leclair of Harrison driving a sedan while 48-year-old Shaun Grady of Lovell tried to escape on foot.

Both were caught and charged on multiple counts including theft offenses.

They were taken to the Oxford County Jail.
