A 44-year-old Hermon man faces numerous charges after a reported standoff with deputies in a domestic violence incident.
Penobscot County deputies say Timothy Pendleton refused to accept a protection order for his significant other, leave that person’s residence, or surrender.
Deputies say they then obtained search and arrest warrants, and arrested Pendleton Monday after what’s described as a standoff.
He was charged with violation of a protective order, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and domestic violence terrorizing. He was later released on bail.
In a separate incident, deputies say 36-year-old Travis Rideout of Levant was arrested after a standoff in a domestic violence incident.
They say Rideout also refused to surrender, leading deputies to surround the residence and again apply for an arrest warrant and search warrant.
Deputies say that after several hours, Rideout surrendered. He’s charged with Domestic Violence and Criminal Threatening.
