Two Men Arrested in Portland on Sex Offense Charges in Other States

The U.S. Marshals Service is announcing the arrest in Portland of two men facing sex offense charges in other states.

They say 42-year-old Samuel Linkert has been wanted since 2022 in Minnesota for criminal sexual conduct in the first degree.

The Marshals Service also says 79-year-old Raymond Sylvester was wanted in New Hampshire for failing to register as a sex offender out of Concord. A warrant for Sylvester’s arrest was issued June 1, 2024. He has 3 underlying criminal conviction for Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault (Victim under 13-years-old)

Both men are charged as fugitives from justice and are waiting for extradition back to their states.
