York man, 68, dies after crashing truck

A man died Wednesday evening after his truck crashed in York.

Police say 68-year-old Royce Perkins of York was driving north on Chases Pond Rd. when he drifted off the left side of the road and into the woods.

The Bangor Daily News reports that Perkins collapsed while talking with first responders.

He was rushed to Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire, where he died.

The New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office will determine his cause of death.

The crash remains under investigation.
