Kathleen Moneghan is a volunteer, an advocate and a leader. She volunteers with the New England Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), helping patients and families battling cancer access critical resources. She has played a key role in LLS’s Hero Squad campaign and served as Committee Chair for the 2021 New England Climb for the Cure, earning her the 2021 Point of Light Award for her service. Since 2021, Kathleen has coordinated food deliveries to cancer patients through the Christine B Foundation and now serves on its Board of Directors. She and her family have raised over $6,500 for cancer support organizations, instilling in her children the importance of giving back.
A Physician Assistant (PA) since 2014, Kathleen brings her expertise to local healthcare through the Maine Association of Physician Assistants (MEAPA), where she currently serves as President. Her advocacy has earned her the 2022 Maine PA of the Year and the 2024 Presidential Service Award. In addition, she supports local recreation as Treasurer of The Friends of the Mountain, ensuring affordable skiing opportunities in Piscataquis County. Despite her demanding roles as a mother of five and a healthcare provider, Kathleen continues to dedicate herself to service, making a lasting impact on her community.
