Congratulations to Kris Stanley, one of our 20 Outstanding Women of 2026!
Listen to Kris’ full interview with Blake and Kelly below:
Kris Stanley is a lifelong Mainer whose life reflects compassion, service, and steady leadership. Originally from Portland, she has spent her life giving back to the communities she calls home. Kris is an ordained pastor at the Cornish United Church of Christ, an Air Force veteran, and continues to serve through the Maine Air National Guard. During the week, she works as a hospice chaplain, supporting patients and families through some of life’s most vulnerable and difficult moments.
While her roles alone show a deep commitment to service, it is the compassion she brings to them that truly sets her apart. In hospice care, where empathy, presence, and grace are essential, Kris meets people exactly where they are, offering comfort without judgment.
Kris has a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and supported. Whether serving her country, leading a faith community, or sitting quietly with someone at the end of their life, she brings warmth, dignity, and hope to every life she touches.
