Congratulations to Malia Haddock, one of our 20 Outstanding Women of 2026!
Listen to Malia’s full interview with Blake and Kelly below:
Malia is a vital part of the Portland community changing the lives of people experiencing homelessness and struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. Over a ten-year period, she has transformed healthcare for the homeless community in Portland. Malia played an integral role in the formation of the MMC-Preble Street Learning Collaborative and Homeless Health Partners team, who continue to meet people where they’re at in a clinical setting.
In 2024, with MaineHealth leadership, Malia launched the CONNECT van, a mobile health clinic that brings both mental health and recovery support to unsheltered individuals in the community. She brings genuine empathy, humor, and unmatched passion as she builds trusting relationships and bridges to connect people with support who need it most.
