Marina is a dedicated Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center, primarily caring for pediatric patients. Colleagues consistently speak about her strong work ethic, dedication, and advocacy for patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she showed up every day on the front lines to support families during one of the most difficult times in healthcare. More recently, she stayed hours past her shift before the holidays to ensure a Portuguese-speaking patient received compassionate care in their native language.
Her generosity extends far beyond the hospital. She volunteers throughout the town of Windham at youth sports, school events, and community fundraisers. As Chair of Youth Football, she created an equipment closet, so no child misses the chance to play due to lack of gear.
Whenever someone says, “We need help,” Marina’s answer is always the same: “What can I do?”
