I feel like one of the luckiest guys in the world.  I mean, not to rub it in, but when I go to “work” I get to hang out with friends, talk to other friends on the phone, and listen to music.  (And we get PAID for this!  Outrageous, isn’t it?!)

Radio is something I’ve always wanted to do — after I realized a career in magic wasn’t gonna pan out.  (Yes, performing as a magician was my first job.)

After playing radio at home with Radio Shack gadgets accumulated over several birthdays and Christmases, I eventually weaseled my way into the REAL studios at KC101 in nearby New Haven, CT and started interning before I eventually got hired.

Then it was off to school at Emerson College in Boston, followed by New York for a few years, and most recently a two-year stint in Houston, Texas.  Though I left a lot of great friends behind there, I’m so happy to be back in New England!  (Snow at Christmas time!  Beautiful summers!)

Personally, I’m single, gay, and have a cute (and occasionally trouble-making) rescue dog named Oscar.  He got his name because he was found in a trash can, and only gets grouchy when he doesn’t get enough attention, and chews stuff he clearly knows he’s NOT supposed to.  Like Eva, I’m a big supporter of rescuing pets in need of good homes.

Aside from pets, children’s hospitals, MS bike rides, the food bank, and HIV/AIDS service organizations, I’m also very passionate about LGBT issues and finally achieving full equality (we’re almost there!).  I consider it my responsibility to be a sounding board for anyone struggling with coming out or accepting themselves for who they are, whether they’re 14 or 40.  I love being gay.  It isn’t always easier, but sometimes challenges make you a better, stronger person, right?  I’m always available for advice, or just to listen if you’re having trouble with your family, or friends, or at school.

It really does get better.  I’m living proof!!  I have a job I love going to (even at 3am!), with my coworker and new friend Eva, living in a beautiful city, in a state that celebrates equality, with my supportive family just down the road in Connecticut.

I’m so happy to be a part of your morning, and my Coast 93.1 family!!!
